Our Social Responsibility Initiative
At PictureFrame.TV, we consider ourselves very lucky to have consistently grown our business and product offering over the past 6-7 years. We first started making Mirror TV products from home, and have grown into one of the UK’s best selling hidden TV solutions.
In January of 2017, we made a decision to donate 1% of our turnover to a number of causes close to our hearts. As well as making financial donations, we also give our time to the organisations that are local to us.
First up was an annual event that we take part in just before Christmas. It’s called Basket Brigade, and was started by Anthony Robbins in the USA. A group of us get together on the 23rd of December, and package a few thousand Christmas dinners for families in need at Christmas. The baskets are then anonymously delivered by volunteers who take part in the event.
Below is a short video of 2017’s Basket Brigade.
The next charity we support is one called ChildReach. ChildReach focuses on educating parents in Asia on the signs of child trafficking. Our MD visited British Airways HQ in autumn of 2016, and made a decision to support ChildReach after seeing a screening of a movie about a young girl who was trafficked from Nepal into India.
In the spirit of supporting local charities, we also both volunteer our time and donate to the King George VI Day Centre in Windsor. It’s a centre where elderly people spend time, and are greeted with other like minded people. They’re served tea and coffee, and get to take part in various forms of entertainment including bingo, dominos, fitness, live entertainment, quizzes and many more.
Since summer of 2016, we have also support the Wycombe Refugee Partnership. This is a charity that houses Syrian refugees who have fled their war torn homes. Again here, we donate both our time and make regular donations.
Local people in the community donate all sorts of things someone would need for a starter home. Since we have a large van, we help in the logistics of collecting, moving and storing furniture.
So when you buy any product from us, whether it’s a Mirror TV or an Art TV, 1% of your money will go to supporting the above charities.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their support since we began in 2011.
