In the summer of 2017, we started talks with Astute AV and Brownlow Furniture in Cheshire. They had plans to hide a TV behind a large wall covered mainly in smoked mirror. The room in question was a dance studio that doubles up as an entertainment area.
Having gone back and forth with numerous configurations of glass, the above set up was confirmed. Brownlows carried out the joinery work for the space. We specified all the relevant fixings and all that we’d need.
Once the joinery was in place, we attended site in December to measure and template for the glass. The need for precision here is incredibly important to ensure a good fit and look. The TV height was determined by the client, and we adhered to this as close as humanly possible.
After Christmas and New Year, we attended the house for a final installation. The room was almost complete by this stage, and was looking more like a useable state.
The large mirror tv panel was 1.8m wide by 2.2m tall. You can imagine how heavy this would have been. Fortunately for us, we were able to drive the van down onto the garden to make our entrance easier.
We are still waiting on the professional photographs once the room is completely finished. But we hope the pictures below give you an idea of the work we have undertaken. Once we receive new pictures of the installation with the mirror tv switched on, we shall post them below.
The sheer wow factor of this 55″ Mirror TV installation will make our client grin with pride.
